A new online webinar series from the European project POWERYOUTH is now available to educate anyone who wants to contribute to the energy transition.
Through this webinar series, young people have the opportunity to learn how they can help create a more sustainable future through energy communities. The five online seminars will offer knowledge, expert guidance, and inspiration for action. On October 13–14, the 2nd meeting of the European project CROSSFIT took place, with representatives from all partners participating, and organized by Sustainable City Network.
The project team gathered in Athens to discuss the progress achieved so far, as well as the next steps to be taken to ensure its smooth development. Sustainable City Network, Greenesco Energy S.A., and LDK Consultants S.A., partners of the ENERGATE European project consortium, invite you to the project’s 2nd Information Day titled “Investing in Energy Efficiency: Financing mechanisms for sustainable buildings through the ENERGATE platform”, which will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2025, at IMPACT HUB Athens (Karaiskaki 28, Athens).
ENERGATE, co-funded by the LIFE programme, is developing a digital energy-efficiency marketplace where investors, energy service companies, building owners and managers can exchange information and make agreements using specialized financing schemes. Sustainable City Network participated in the Annual Conference of YES-Europe, which took place on October 3rd, 2025, in Vienna, within the framework of the POWERYOUTH European project.
During the conference, the project, the developed toolkit, and the activities of the Greek pilot were presented. The presentation was addressed to a dynamic audience of young people from various European countries, who showed strong interest in how youth can meaningfully contribute to and participate in the energy transition of their regions. SUSTAINABLE CITY participated in the 2nd Meeting of the European project ESCALATE, held on September 30 and October 1, 2025, in Vienna.
During the meeting, the project partners had the opportunity to discuss the progress of the implementation and to plan the next steps of ESCALATE, focusing on: • capacity-building activities and support for municipalities in developing Heating and Cooling plans, • sustainability policies and the exploitation of project results, • collaboration with other European initiatives in the fields of energy and climate The ENERGATE project, in which SUSTAINABLE CITY participates, continues to monitor and support the energy transition in Europe. The 5th Newsletter of the project, published in September 2025, presents the latest developments, activities, and new tools of the platform.
In this issue, you can find the new features added to the platform, which place particular emphasis on Financing Options and are designed for banks and investment funds, facilitating access to capital for energy efficiency projects. At the same time, the newsletter provides an overview of the project’s participation in major events such as VerdeTec, the CLIMA Workshop in Milan, and the Regional Training held in Budapest, while also presenting a new scientific publication on energy efficiency financing. |
