SUSTAINABLE CITY Network participates in the Kick-off Meeting of the “WAYSTUP!” Research Project

The kick-off meeting of the Horizon 2020 research project entitled “WaysTUP! - Value chains for disruptive transformation of urban biowaste into biobased products in the city context” was successfully completed with the participation of Sustainable City Network executives. The meeting took place on the 2nd and 3rd of October 2019 in Valencia, Spain.

The project relates to the circular economy model and its main objective is to contribute research for converting urban bio-waste into innovative high value products such as food and feed ingredients, bio-plastics, bio-ethanol, bio-carbons, bio-solvents, proteins and oils.

“WaysTUP!” will last until February 2023 with 26 partners from all over Europe participating, including SUSTAINABLE CITY.
