3rd EUCF Webinar in Greece

The 3rd National Webinar on the 3rd Call for Applications by the EUCF Initiative, hosted by SUSTAINABLE CITY Network, was a great success. As the National Network of the EUCF for Greece, SUSTAINABLE CITY invited representatives of the Municipalities to attend the webinar, in order to inform them about the funding opportunities arising from this project and the funding application process.

The Network’s General Manager, Mr. Ioannis Georgizas, greeted the participants, while briefly mentioning the purpose of SUSTAINABLE CITY Network establishment and its contribution to the project. Consequently, the Country Expert, Dr. Panagiotis Michail, elaborated on the usefulness of the initiative, as well as on the results of the two previous Calls for Applications.

The webinar resumed with the presentation of Mr. Christos Vasilakis, associate of SUSTAINABLE CITY Network, who mentioned the requirements that the beneficiaries and their funding proposals must meet to be considered valid. Finally, the Project Manager, Mrs. Nikoletta Maneta, analysed and clarified the eligible costs, the eligibility criteria of the proposals and demonstrated the application process to the platform.

Through the project, Municipalities can gain access to financial support of up to €60,000 for performing studies in order to increase their projects' maturity within the framework of green energy and sustainable development, such as improvement of buildings’ energy efficiency, energy saving and carbon footprint reduction.
