SUSTAINABLE CITY participated in the 5th Regional Conference of the Panhellenic Federation of Hoteliers that took place on Tuesday 18 February 2025 at the Lafazanis Winery in Nemea, in cooperation with the Corinthian Hoteliers Association.
The topics of the discussions were the interaction of the hotel sector with the Greek economy, the green transition in tourism, the co-design of the tourism product of the Peloponnese and its adaptation to the new challenges that are developing in the hospitality sector. The General Manager of SUSTAINABLE CITY, Mr. Ioannis Georgios presented the European Project HyPro4ST, coordinated by the Cities Network, and stressed the need for the development and upgrading of the skills of tourism workers.
This project aims to apply a holistic approach to the training of future and existing project managers active in the field of sustainable tourism through the creation of a new professional profile entitled "Sustainable and Hybrid Project Manager", as well as the relevant training material of the HyPro4ST series of Open Online Occupational Courses (VOOC) entitled "Sustainable and Hybrid Project Management in Tourism", which is available in 7 languages and free of charge at this time. Those individuals who successfully complete the course will have the opportunity to receive a free certification and travel to Palermo, Italy for the Project Closing Ceremony in May 2025.
