On 4th and 5th of July 2023, SUSTAINABLE CITY Network organized the 5th General Assembly of the European Research Project DECIDO in Halki. The assembly was held hybrid to facilitate those who could not attend in person.
The purpose of the meeting was to review the progress of the project so far in all work packages, to present the DECIDO portal reconfiguration and the pilot applications during the 2nd phase of the project experimentation. 
The 4th General Assembly of the DECIDO project was held on 15-16 March 2023 in Vuokatti, Finland, where project partners from each partner country gathered to discuss the progress made during the first experimental phase, as well as the next stages of the project.
The SCN team was among the participants and contributed significantly to the discussion on the different approaches and methodologies for the formulation of emergency policies, presenting the actions that have been carried out for the creation of a policy regarding the prediction of power outages on the island of Halki. 
The 1st training event of the European Project "SETOFF", for the evaluation and formulation of the project's training curriculum, took place in Kavala on 1-3 March 2023.
The three-day event was attended by representatives of the Fire Service and the Police Department of Kavala, the Police Department of the Municipality of Benaquasil, Spain and representatives of Civil Protection from the municipalities-members of SUSTAINABLE CITY Network. Approval of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan of the Municipality of Chalki Island2/3/2023
We are glad to announce that the City Council of the Municipality of Chalki Island approved the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP), which was submitted to the European Covenant of Mayors.
The Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy is the main European initiative that brings together thousands of local governments that voluntarily commit to increase energy efficiency and the use of Renewable Energy Sources in their areas. 
The two-day kick-off meeting for the European Project «Energy Efficiency Aggregation platform for Sustainable Investments – ENERGATE» took place on 25 & 26 January 2023 in Athens. The meeting took place in a hybrid form for the convenience of the partners.
ENERGATE project aims to create an efficient platform for the evaluation of energy efficiency interventions, using ICT, in order to bring together building owners and potential investors, increasing the chances of financing and accelerating building renovation rate. 
On 14 December 2022, the European Project "SETOFF" was presented at the 6th Annual Conference and General Assembly of Sustainable City Network in Athens.
In the third and last session of the conference, entitled "Best practices in municipalities and innovative applications", Mr. Michail Chalaris, assistant professor at the International Hellenic University and coordinator of the project, presented to the participants the main objectives of the project and invited the Municipalities-members of the Sustainable City Network to participate in the actions to be implemented. |
