Kick-off meeting for the European Project CLIMRES

The two-day Kick-off Meeting for the European Project ''Leadership for Climate Resilient Buildings - CLIMRES'' was held on 04 and 05 June 2024 in Athens. The meeting was held hybridly, allowing the 43 participants to attend via physical presence or to connect online.

CLIMRES project aims to identify and categorise the vulnerabilities of buildings to disasters (heat waves, fires, floods, earthquakes) and to assess their impact on buildings.

The knowledge and guidance that will be provided is particularly valuable for stakeholders involved in building climate resilience and sustainable development, as it will present cost-effective and replicable solutions.

The pilot for which SUSTAINABLE CITY is responsible, involves the cooperation and gathering of information from its Member Municipalities whose buildings have been damaged by disasters in the past.

SUSTAINABLE CITY members who were present, actively participated in the discussions on the actions and objectives to be implemented during the project.
