The ESCALATE project, in which SUSTAINABLE CITY participates as a partner, aims to support the energy transition of cities through more efficient heating and cooling systems. These needs account for 80% of energy consumption in buildings, making them a key pillar in achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
The 1st Policy Brief developed by the project team focuses on the main barriers faced by local authorities, the project’s methodology for developing effective heating and cooling plans, and specific recommendations to strengthen municipalities, which according to the new Energy Efficiency Directive, are now required to prepare local heating and cooling plans.
SUSTAINABLE CITY actively supports municipalities in their transition towards clean energy solutions. Comments are closed.
